Online training for organisations on sustainable and regenerative food systems with field visits

Climate-Bites: Food Awareness for Young People is an Erasmus+-funded international professional development programme in Germany and Hungary that aims to raise young people’s awareness of food systems and eating habits and strengthen their role in shaping more sustainable food systems in the future.

The project aims to highlight the links between climate change and young people’s daily lives, raise awareness and encourage active engagement on these critical issues. We strengthen the role of young people through training for formal (teachers) and non-formal education actors (youth workers, lecturers, organizations) in Germany and Hungary.

Project participants will learn about food systems through a five-week online training, learn about other organisations’ sustainable development and food-related methodologies and tools, and have the opportunity to participate in a joint offline field exercise.

By the end of the programme, participants will have developed specific skills and knowledge that they will be able to use in their daily work with young people.
