On the 2nd of July 2021, the biggest climate innovation initative of the EU, Climate-KIC organised a virtual matchmaking event for the so-called RIS (Central, Eastern and Southern European member countries) climate innovation organisations to bring and match potential customers together with service providers. The topics on both demand and supply sides ranged from solar energy to redesigning urban transport systems to educational reform. Our task was to plan the 4-hour workshop process and to facilitate the event itself. Matched organisations will continue to work together creating a proposal and will apply for Climate-KIC funds. The success of the event is well indicated by the fact that more than 20 of the approximately 40 participants have matched by the end.
